Dr. MacLellan is an Associate Professor of Urology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has practiced as a pediatric urologist at the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre since 2004. She graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science and then attended Medical School there. She completed her residency in Urology at Dalhousie University and her pediatric urology fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. MacLellan has served on the Board of the Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association and as the President of the Pediatric Urologists of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Urologic Surgeons.  Dr. MacLellan’s academic interests lie in education and research. She is responsible for Urology Undergraduate Medical Education and been a long-standing member of the Canadian Undergraduate Urology Curriculum Committee (CanUUC). Her research interests include clinical research in pediatric urology including transitional urology.  Her basic science research includes proteomic and metabolomic evaluations of kidney obstruction and Wilms Tumor.
